CCN, CILEGON – As the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H comes to a close, the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and the Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI) of Cilegon City provided aid to several orphaned children at the Majlis Ta’lim Bani Nuruzaini in the Terate Udik neighborhood, RT/RW 01/02, Masigit Village, Jombang District on Thursday (20/4/2023).
The Chairman of PWI Cilegon City, Adi Adam, accompanied by the Chairman of SMSI Cilegon City, Hasidi, stated that the annual aid for orphans was usually held at the PWI Cilegon City Office.
“For this year, Alhamdulillah, we were able to provide aid directly to the community in the neighborhood, especially to those living close to our office,” he explained.
According to Adam, journalists as social controllers want to hear directly from the community about social issues affecting residents.
“As information conveyors from the community to the government, we hope that there will be a special solution to address the government’s attention to the orphans in Cilegon City,” he added.
Meanwhile, the supervisor of the Majlis Ta’lim Bani Nuruzaini, Ust. M. Khoiri Sahrul, expressed his gratitude to PWI and SMSI Cilegon City for visiting and seeing the conditions of the orphans in their neighborhood.
“Journalists are like preachers to us, conveying good information,” he said.
He hoped that from this aid, everyone would receive blessings from Allah SWT, especially at the end of Ramadan this year.
