CCN, SERANG. On Wednesday, May 28, 2023, the Association of Agribusiness Students (Himagri) celebrated its 20th anniversary with great joy. The event, held under the theme “Unite Steps, Spread Goodness, Towards a Glorious Himagri,” created valuable moments for the Himagri management, Agribusiness students, demissioners, and the community in need.
Prior to reaching the pinnacle of the Himagri Anniversary celebration, on May 27, 2023, Himagri organized a charity event for orphans. This noble act served as the initial step in embodying their celebration theme of spreading goodness to others.
Several competitions were held before the 20th Himagri Anniversary, including traditional and Business Center competitions. These competitions provided opportunities for participants to hone their skills and talents while strengthening the bond among fellow students.
During the grand event of the 20th Himagri Anniversary, the Himagri management, demissioners, and Agribusiness students were present. Notably, Secretary of the Department, H. Gugun Gunawan, Ir., S.MN., MM, and Vice Dean III of Faperta, Dr.nat.techn Weksi Budiaji, S.Si., M.Sc., delivered speeches to provide support and prayers for the success and smoothness of the grand event.
The event commenced from 08:00 AM until 05:00 PM local time. Demissioners shared their experiences and interesting stories throughout their journey in building Himagri. After the sharing session, the main event began, which involved the ceremonial cutting of a tumpeng, symbolizing gratitude for Himagri’s 20-year existence.
The festivities were further enhanced by creative performances from Agribusiness students and demissioners, who entertained the attending guests. Additionally, the appearance of the Classical Student Activity Unit (UKM Klasik) as a guest star added to the excitement, especially during the announcement of competition winners. Participants hoped that this announcement would motivate them to continue developing their potential and talents.
In closing, the event’s organizing chairperson, Mira Laisa, and the Vice General Chairperson of Himagri 2023, Danu Ardiana, expressed their gratitude to the management, participants, Agribusiness students, and demissioners who contributed to the success of the grand event. Special thanks were also extended to the organizing committee for their crucial role in executing the event successfully.
Looking ahead, Himagri hopes to continue spreading goodness and providing a platform for the development of the potential and talents of Agribusiness students. Himagri remains committed to fostering unity and strengthening the sense of family among its members.
