CCN, Cilegon. The Unit of Regional Technical Implementation (UPTD) for Public Health at Grogol District organized a jamboree event for posyandu cadres at Situ Rawa Arum on Monday, July 3, 2023. The aim of the event was to improve the skills and relationships among posyandu cadres in Grogol District.
Pebrian Damayanti, the Head of UPTD for Public Health in Grogol District, explained that the jamboree event encompassed various activities, including health check-ups, blood pressure measurements, early detection of cervical cancer, as well as engaging games such as quizzes, cheerleading competitions, and social gatherings. “In this jamboree event, we conducted health check-ups, blood pressure measurements, and early detection of cervical cancer in women, along with fun games,” she said.
Pebrian Damayanti emphasized that in the future, posyandu cadres should possess adequate knowledge and skills related to posyandu activities, particularly in maternal and child health and efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality rates. “Cadres must have full responsibility, meaning they need to have competent capabilities to ensure the smooth operation of all activities,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Hany Seviatry told that the importance of appreciating the role of posyandu cadres. “We must show appreciation to the cadres because they play a vital role. Therefore, they deserve recognition and attention from the government, especially in terms of honorarium,” she stated.
The wife of the Mayor of Cilegon added that they would strive to increase the honorarium by submitting a request to the government. “In my opinion, the government should pay more attention to posyandu cadres because their role is crucial,” she expressed.
