CCN, Cilegon. Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 (MAN 1) Cilegon held the opening ceremony for the ta’aruf period for students (Matsama) with a blazing spirit. With the theme “Proud to be a Part of MAN 1 Cilegon,” the ceremony took place grandly at the campus of MAN 1 Cilegon. (Monday, July 17, 2023)
The Matsama activities involved all teachers, staff, and students from grades 10th to 12th. The event began with an official opening marked by the pinning of name tags to each new student and the hanging of the Matsama students’ badges. The opening was conducted by the Head of the Madrasah, Hj. Maryati, who delivered motivating and inspiring words and struck the gong as a sign of the beginning of this new journey. After that, the Matsama participants were directed to enter their respective classrooms and commence their learning activities.
In her speech, Hj. Maryati, the Head of MAN 1 Cilegon Madrasah, expressed congratulations and a warm welcome to the Matsama students. “Welcome and congratulations on joining the Matsama students. Alhamdulillah, all of you have been accepted into MAN 1 Cilegon. My hope for the future is that all of you can comply with the school regulations. For the Matsama students, you now have new friends and a new life in this Madrasah Aliyah. My message to you is to never stop giving, even if it’s in small amounts. With giving, our lives will be filled with smiles, even when facing various problems. One form of giving that we can do is by smiling at our new friends. That way, we will understand how important a smile is,” said the Head of MAN 1 Cilegon.
Some new female students, such as Farisa Sabina and Siti Nurlela, shared their impressions of their first day at MAN 1 Cilegon City. With great excitement, they expressed their opinions, “We are very happy because this is our dream school. The lessons presented are very interesting with games, and we learn about art. Moreover, the teachers are very kind, especially the senior committee members of Matsama. My goal in joining MAN 1 is to advance the school through extracurricular activities like dance,” said Farisa Sabina and Siti Nurlela enthusiastically.
With the spirit and enthusiasm emanating from this Matsama opening event, it is hoped that the new students of MAN 1 Cilegon can achieve brilliant accomplishments and continue to build spirit and concern for others.
