“UKM SEBAWON’s Debut Show: A Triumph of Talent and Dedication”

CCN, Cilegon – The first-ever inaugural night performance by the Unit of Student Activity in the Cultural Arts, known as UKM SEBAWON, at Al-Khairiyah University, proved to be a resounding success, leaving a profound impact on the entire audience.

Sebawon, a platform for university students to express their artistic talents, astounded hundreds of spectators with their theater production titled “Titik-titik Hitam” (Black Dots) on the Inauguration Night at the Al-Khairiyah Multipurpose Hall on Saturday, August 3, 2023, evening.

The script for “Titik-titik Hitam,” authored by the renowned artist Nasjah Djamin, succinctly portrays the emotions and tensions within a family. The characters include a mother, the eldest daughter (Hartati), a husband (Adang), the youngest daughter (Rahayu), Adang’s younger sibling (Trisno), and a personal doctor (Dr. Gun). The conflicts depicted encompass the inner turmoil of each character, delving into themes of infidelity, wounds, suspicion, despair, doubt, and uncertainty.

These conflicts are depicted with intense emotion within each character, as they undergo personal revolutions. The script is rich with poignant inner conflicts, with each scene brimming with deep emotions and heart-wrenching tension.

“Genta Jamaludin, the Chairman of Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University, explained, ‘The title of tonight’s theater performance is ‘Titik-titik Hitam,’ which narrates a dark tale within a family.'”

Genta also expressed his appreciation for the characters, performers, and production team who underwent a lengthy process. He noted that the members of Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University dedicated a substantial amount of time and effort to deliver their best work.

In addition to the theater performance, the inaugural night also showcased a variety of works from different divisions within UKM Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University, including painting, live painting, poetry, poetic musical compositions, and musical performances.

“Our preparations have been ongoing for approximately two months, and all actors, performers, and the production team are pure members of UKM Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University,” Genta stated.

Genta also emphasized the potential of UKM Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University in nurturing professional artists. He noted that many students at Al-Khairiyah University possess a sincere interest in the world of art.

“The potential for art at Al-Khairiyah University is quite promising. We simply need to explore it further and encourage more improvements among our members,” Genta added.

The inaugural night performance also received positive contributions from the Theater’s aesthetics team, including Muhammad Rafli, Rini Septiani, Nasrotul Husnia, M. Rizki Fahri, Fazriyatul Umamah, Laras Ayu, Sufina, Vivian Maharani, Mayasari, and Wanda Bahriyah. In the field of painting and poetry, there were Nanda Dewi, Aline Madea Sulinda, Peni Iriyani, Amelia, Laela Nur Khasanah, and M. Rizki Dwi Mauladi. Meanwhile, in the music segment, Alisya Nur Halizah and M. Rizki Andana, as well as the production team, including Dhenti Mutiara, Risnawati, Dania, and Bela.

All members of the production team are students of UKM Sebawon at Al-Khairiyah University who are deeply committed to the arts and performances. They worked diligently for months to prepare for this inaugural night performance.

The hard work and dedication of the production team were key factors contributing to the success of this performance, and they deserve recognition for the crucial role they played behind the scenes.
