CCN, Cilegon – Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Cilegon celebrated its 30th anniversary with great enthusiasm and spirit on the school grounds located in the Lebak Denok Village, Citangkil District, Cilegon. This celebration marks three decades of success and dedication by MAN 1 Cilegon in providing quality education and nurturing strong student characters. (October 25, 2023)
The event was organized with several main objectives:
- Celebrating 30 Years of Journey: This celebration serves as an expression of gratitude for the blessings of Allah SWT and as a moment of reflection on the long journey of MAN 1 Cilegon in providing quality education.
- Boosting School Spirit: The event aims to rekindle the spirit of students, teachers, and staff of the madrasah, as well as to stimulate a sense of ownership among students towards the educational institution.
- Supporting Character Education: MAN 1 Cilegon seizes this opportunity to engage students in various activities, including competitions, artistic performances, and other activities to strengthen their character and social skills.
- Enhancing Social Relationships: The event also aims to strengthen social bonds among students, teachers, staff, and parents through sports competitions, artistic performances, and regional cultural exhibitions.
The event’s activities began on October 20, 2023, with various exciting competitions such as the Olympics, Quran Memorization Competition (MSQ), Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ), and Scout Competitions. The climax of the 30th-anniversary celebration took place on October 25, 2023, at MAN 1 Cilegon.
Hj. Maryati, the Head of MAN 1 Cilegon, emphasized that the celebration is not only about showcasing the madrasah’s achievements but also about expanding partnerships with the local community, sponsors, and individuals who care about madrasah education, including alumni participation.
“Alhamdulillah, today is one of the most beautiful gifts for me with the presence of Nanang Fatcurochman, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Banten. Hopefully, this will be a continuation and motivation for me. On this commemorative day, MAN 1 Cilegon also launched two books written by students and Physical Education teachers who have the ability to write and respond to the challenges of digital transformation. We have created a digital magazine called ‘Majalah Digital Iqro MAN 1 Cilegon,'” said Hj. Maryati, Head of MAN 1 Cilegon, who is also an author.
Meanwhile, Nanang Fatcurochman, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Banten, expressed his optimism that madrasah schools continue to be a highly attractive choice for parents looking for schools for their children.
“The community’s interest in enrolling in madrasahs is very high, where madrasah-based management must synergize with committees and the community. I am proud and impressed by MAN 1 Cilegon; they have an extraordinary madrasah committee. Hopefully, the students of MAN 1 will become pious and righteous individuals because, in the future, they will be the ones leading the nation and the state with faith, piety, mastery of science and technology. Let us continue to be grateful for the 30 years of MAN 1 Cilegon. I am grateful and thankful on behalf of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Banten to the Board of Teachers and educators who are always enthusiastic, have integrity, show loyalty, and commitment in educating,” he stated.
The peak of the 30th-anniversary celebration at MAN 1 Cilegon was filled with various outstanding performances, including traditional martial arts, traditional dances, intra and extracurricular parades, acoustic bands, and performances by the students of MAN 1 Cilegon.
The winners of various competitions held during the 30th-anniversary celebration of MAN 1 Cilegon and the event also recognized and awarded PT. PABELAN, Putra Cilegon Mandiri (PCM), Bank BRI KCP Cilegon, Bank BSI KCP PCI Cilegon, Bank Syari’ah Muamalah KCP Cilegon, PT. Indonesia Power Cilegon, PT.
