CCN, Cilegon – Entering a new era of Indonesian education, the Islamic Boarding School Al-Hanif in the Cikerai Village, Cibeber District was officially inaugurated on Saturday (3/23/2024), marking a significant milestone in the integration of religious values and general knowledge.
The inauguration event was attended by various parties, with the unveiling of a plaque by the Mayor of Cilegon, Helldy Agustian, as a historic moment marking the start of the school’s operations and a joint commitment to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in Cilegon.
Utomo Nugroho, Chairman of the Al-Hanif Education Committee, revealed that the Islamic Boarding School Al-Hanif currently provides education for Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMPIT) levels one and two. With an educational approach that integrates general and religious education, the school aims to equip students with relevant skills to compete globally.
“Our intention is to continually expand educational facilities, including the construction of new school buildings for the Integrated Islamic Senior High School (SMUIT) level,” Nugroho said.
In his address, Mayor of Cilegon, Helldy Agustian, emphasized the importance of government support for quality education. He also highlighted the potential of the school in driving the local economy and making a positive contribution to community development.
“The presence of the Islamic Boarding School Al-Hanif in Cibeber is highly strategic, and we as the city government fully support this initiative. We believe that with quality education, we can advance the nation’s life and produce a morally noble golden generation,” he said.
The inauguration of the Islamic Boarding School Al-Hanif is not just a ceremonial event, but a significant milestone for education in Cilegon and Indonesia as a whole. The hopes brought by this school go beyond the development of knowledge and religion, but also in shaping the character of students as future leaders. “With the presence of the Islamic Boarding School Al-Hanif, we hope to nurture a generation with noble character and contribute to shaping a golden generation,” he said.
