CCN, Cilegon, March 30, 2025 – The Gema Takbir Festival in Rawa Arum Urban Village, Grogol District, Cilegon City, was once again held with great enthusiasm on the night of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H. The event was attended by the Mayor of Cilegon, Haji Robinsar, who expressed his appreciation for the participation of the community, especially youth leaders, neighborhood and community heads (RW and RT), the Village Head, and the District Head of Grogol, in ensuring the success of the festival. The event was also attended by a member of the Cilegon City Council, Hj. Ruaniyah.
In his speech, the Mayor of Cilegon emphasized the crucial role of youth in preserving Islamic values and local culture. “Alhamdulillah, I have been invited to this event once again. Last year, I attended at Masjid PGP, and now I am back here with the people of Grogol. Events like this can have a positive impact on the progress of Grogol District over the next five years,” said Robinsar.
He also highlighted the importance of utilizing mosques as centers for Islamic activities and youth development. “A mosque should not only be a place of worship but also serve as a hub for youth development, making them more modern and engaged in positive activities. Instead of getting involved in motorcycle gangs or street fights, our youth should be guided toward beneficial activities like this,” he added.
The Head of the Jury, H. Jupri, also expressed his appreciation to the Mayor of Cilegon for his support of the event. He hoped that the festival would continue and grow in scale in the coming years. “We hope that Kang Edi can become the Head of the Grogol District Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) so that the spirit of Takbir does not stop here but can expand even further,” said H. Jupri.
