Sosialisasi Dana Indonesiana: Pemerintah Dorong Sinergi dan Inklusi untuk Pemajuan Kebudayaan

CCN, CILEGON – The government, through the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center of Region VIII, held a socialization event on the Indonesiana Fund as part of the Community Partnership Strengthening program, themed “Culture for Sustainable Living”, on Monday (July 14, 2025), at Semilir Senja Café, Cilegon City. This event aimed to disseminate information, gather ideas, and strengthen synergy between communities, cultural practitioners, and the government in utilizing the Cultural Endowment Fund.

The event’s moderator, Syaiful Iskandar, emphasized that local wisdom is a crucial foundation for shaping national character and must be preserved through cross-sector collaboration.

Discussions highlighted administrative challenges and limited access to the Indonesiana Fund, particularly for micro-scale filmmakers and cultural communities. Darwin Mahesa, one of the speakers, pointed out that funding and research are the main obstacles in producing cultural films. Meanwhile, several participants criticized the administrative system for being unfriendly to artists.

In response, Alwin, another speaker, stressed that the Indonesiana Fund must be inclusive and promote sustainability. He proposed simplifying the reporting process through technical training and user-friendly digital platforms.

“The spirit of this fund is to foster creativity, not to burden it. Administrative solutions must be adaptive and supportive of the creative process,” said Alwin.

Meanwhile, Rizal, a theater artist, suggested the formation of a special team to assist artists with administrative matters and called for an extension of the socialization period to ensure better effectiveness.

At the end of the event, representatives from the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center, the Cilegon City Department of Culture, and the Banten Provincial Government agreed that the Indonesiana Fund is a strategic opportunity to promote cultural development more evenly and sustainably—provided it is accompanied by mentoring, transparency, and open access to information for cultural practitioner.
