CCN, CILEGON – The Chairperson of the Regional Victory Team (TKD) for Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Airin Rachmi Diany, calls on all coalition legislative candidates (Caleg) to campaign for the Prabowo-Gibran duo in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Airin aims to replicate Prabowo’s victory in the 2019 Presidential Election in 2024, particularly in Cilegon, Banten. During a meeting in Cilegon, she outlined the target of garnering as many votes as possible in Banten, specifically in Cilegon, to ensure the victory of the Prabowo-Gibran pair. She emphasized that the coalition parties must actively engage with the public by conveying their chosen programs convincingly.
“Our target is to secure as many votes as possible. We want to win, so we must win again in Cilegon. However, it’s not possible if we remain passive. We must engage with the community, convince them of our choices by presenting our programs and more,” said Airin in an interview on Friday (24/11/2023).
According to Airin, the Caleg running from the Prabowo-Gibran coalition have the responsibility to campaign for the presidential candidates. They are instructed not only to promote themselves but also to convey information about their chosen presidential candidates.
“So the task for all structures, whether at the provincial, city, sub-district, or village levels, as well as for the Caleg who previously only promoted the party and themselves, now there is a clear instruction from each party that candidates should not only promote themselves but also talk about their presidential choices,” she concluded.
Airin also expressed optimism regarding the seats obtained in the Cilegon Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), which is predominantly filled by members from the Prabowo-Gibran coalition. With this seat distribution, she believes that the Prabowo-Gibran pair will emerge victorious in Cilegon City.
“If we look at the 40 seats in the Cilegon DPRD, 22 of them are from the coalition party, Indonesia Maju. This means our coalition has the highest number of seats. Therefore, I am confident that Prabowo-Gibran will win in Cilegon City,” she concluded.” (RED)
