CCN, CILEGON – The City Government of Cilegon has successfully earned a prestigious award as an Informative City in the 2023 Public Information Openness Awards held by the Provincial Information Commission of Banten recently.
This award signifies the dedication of the Cilegon City Government to enhance access and dissemination of information to the public. This achievement is a result of the relentless efforts of the Cilegon City Government in creating an informative environment, particularly in public services and information transparency, aligning with its vision to become a modern, new, and dignified city.
Agus Zulkarnain, the Head of the Department of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Cryptography of Cilegon City, expresses appreciation for the support from various parties that contributed to achieving this award. One of the appreciated supports is the assistance from USAID ERAT (United States Agency for International Development – Enhancing Resilience for Sustainable Development).
“We, as the Head of Diskominfo SP, express our gratitude to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Secretary of Cilegon City for their guidance and motivation for us to continuously improve our performance and services to the public. We also express our thanks and appreciation to USAID ERAT and the collaborative support from all heads of departments and the implementing PPID officials,” said Agus Zulkarnain (24/11/2023).
Through its programs, USAID ERAT has provided training and technological assistance to the Cilegon City Government, including enhancing the capacity of human resources in managing information technology. This is aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of public services.
The Informative City award also reflects the commitment of the Cilegon City Government to implement the principles of good governance, where transparency and public participation are integral to good governance.
