CCN, Cilegon – On November 16, 2023, the Depkominfo Hall in Cilegon City witnessed the training of teachers receiving Welfare Improvement Assistance (BPKG) organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Cilegon City. The event aims to enhance the quality and well-being of educators in the region.
H. Abu Nasor, Chairman of the Committee Report, stated that this initiative is a concrete step in supporting the educational development in Cilegon. “We are committed to continually nurturing and improving the well-being of teachers so that they can provide quality education to future generations,” he remarked.
Teachers play a highly strategic role in national development, particularly in the field of education. The functions, roles, and tasks undertaken by teachers go beyond delivering lesson materials, encompassing profound aspects of shaping character and providing a quality foundation for future generations.
Warm remarks were also delivered by H. Lukman Hakim, Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in Cilegon City. He emphasized the crucial role of teachers in shaping character and noble morals, which are integral to the identity of Madrasah. “It is hoped that teachers can provide motivation for their dignified and professional roles as educators,” said H. Lukman Hakim.
The training covered various topics, including the enhancement of pedagogical competence, understanding related to BPKG, and awareness of applicable regulations. Additionally, teachers were provided with guidance on efforts to create a conducive learning environment.
It is hoped that this event will have a significant positive impact on the improvement of educational quality in Cilegon, bringing substantial benefits to the teachers who are at the forefront of shaping the future generations of our nation.
H. Rahmatullah, Head of the Welfare Section (Kabag Kesra) in the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Cilegon City, expressed the city government’s policy direction regarding BPKG in the area, as well as the approved grant budget through the Kesra Section. This budget not only covers the honorarium for Madrasah and Quranic teachers but also extends to other aspects.
