CCN, Cilegon, July 17, 2024 – In an interactive dialogue during a press conference at a café in Cilegon, Isro Miraj, a candidate for mayor of Cilegon, responded to questions regarding support from various political parties and his decision to partner with Nasrotul Uyun as the deputy mayor candidate.
Isro Miraj conveyed that the United Development Party (P3) has recommended him to run for mayor of Cilegon. However, he emphasized that the process is still ongoing and urged the public to await an official announcement from the relevant authorities at the provincial level.
“I do not wish to preempt the steps taken by my colleagues in P3. The process is still ongoing, and for further information, the public may contact the authorities,” Isro stated.
Isro also addressed questions regarding support from the NasDem Party, which strongly recommended him to become a party cadre. He explained that he has bid farewell to Golkar and is now focusing on upholding NasDem’s commitment as the foundation of his candidacy.
“I have bid farewell to Golkar and am currently focusing on upholding NasDem’s commitment as the foundation of my candidacy,” Isro clarified.
Regarding his decision to partner with Nurrotul Uyun as the deputy mayor candidate, Isro revealed that their 10-year collaboration in the Cilegon Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) was a major factor in his decision. Both share a vision to improve Cilegon.
“The selection of Ms. Uyun as the deputy mayor candidate is based on our 10 years of working together in the Cilegon DPRD. We have a deep understanding of legislative functions, which forms a strong basis for me to partner with her,” Isro explained.
Nurrotul Uyun, who was present during the interview, added that their experience in the Cilegon DPRD gives them confidence in effectively governing the city. She hopes to contribute significantly to Cilegon alongside Isro.
“We have extensive experience and understanding in performing DPRD Cilegon functions. This provides a strong foundation for us to move forward together in this election,” Uyun said.
With solid party support and a clear vision, Isro Miraj and Nurrotul Uyun are confident in bringing positive changes to Cilegon. The public is encouraged to fully support this pair in the upcoming mayoral election. (***)
