CCN, CILEGON— A community group known as Kawan Robinsar (KAISAR) has expressed its appreciation to the Cilegon City Government for its swift and well-coordinated measures in addressing flooding across several areas of the city.
The appreciation was marked by the symbolic presentation of a pair of Wellington boots, representing support for the local government’s efforts to protect residents from the impacts of flooding.
The handover took place at one of the sites of the One Million Trees Planting programme initiated by the Cilegon City Government, and formed part of a broader collective effort to demonstrate concern for communities affected by the floods.
Mayor of Cilegon, Robinsar, conveyed his gratitude for the attention and support shown by KAISAR. He emphasised that effective flood management requires collaboration among all stakeholders, including government bodies, community groups, and the wider public.
“Flood mitigation cannot be undertaken by the government alone. It requires synergy and collective commitment from all elements of society. The support from KAISAR serves as a strong motivation for us to continue working to the best of our ability in serving the community,” said Robinsar on Thursday (15 January 2026).
He further reaffirmed that the Cilegon City Government, under the leadership of Robinsar–Fajar, is committed to comprehensive flood management—ranging from emergency response and data collection in affected areas to the formulation of both short-term and long-term solutions.
Meanwhile, KAISAR representative Ustadz Arifin Al Bantani stated the group’s readiness to remain active and to continue collaborating with the Cilegon City Government in supporting various development programmes, particularly those related to flood mitigation and disaster management.
“We are ready to collaborate and move forward together with Mayor Robinsar, Deputy Mayor Fajar, and all elements of society to realise a resilient Cilegon that is safe from disasters,” he said.
Through strong collaboration between the local government and the community, it is hoped that flood mitigation efforts in the City of Cilegon will become more effective and sustainable, ultimately contributing to the welfare of its residents.
