CCN, Cilegon. The Republic of Indonesia Teachers’ Association (PGRI) Cilegon, Saturday (24/12/2022) held a commemoration of the 77th PGRI Anniversary and National Teacher’s Day at the GP field, Cilegon sub-district. This activity was attended by hundreds of educators from various levels of kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school teachers in Cilegon. The Association of Teachers of the Republic of Indonesia (PGRI), is the largest organization and forum for teachers throughout Indonesia, as well as the PGRI organization in Cilegon which consists of eight sub-districts in Cilegon; Cibeber, Cilegon, Citangkil, Ciwandan, Ciwandan, Gerogol, Jombang, Pulomerak, Purwakarta.
One of PGRI’s goals is to actively participate in achieving the national goals of educating the nation and forming complete Indonesian people.
The Chairperson Cilegon of PGRI, H. Humaedi conveyed one of the solidarity concepts implemented by the Cilegon of PGRI with the values of caring for the surroundings, such as when the city and district of Serang were hit by a disaster, the Cilegon of PGRI was present. When SDN 12 was hit by a fire, PGRI was there to help. And for the Cianjur Disaster, we are also rallying for solidarity with the concept of “Thank You.”
“The PGRI organization in Cilegon is one of the big organizations, although sometimes there are challenges when the meeting has to wait for a conducive place such as going home from school, in other words, there is no PGRI secretariat yet, and we still believe in the term nothing became something (something that doesn’t exist), can exist), hopefully, Cilegon will be more prosperous, “he said.
This activity was attended by the Mayor of Cilegon, Asda I, Kadis Dindikbud Cilegon, Sekdis and Kabid Dindikbud Cilegon, Chairperson of PGRI Cilegon, and General Chairperson of Provincial PGRI as well as all administrators and members of PGRI in Cilegon.
The Association of Teachers of the Republic of Indonesia ( PGRI ) is also a gathering place for teachers and education staff to always work together in educating the nation’s children. The presence of PGRI is expected to be able to assist teachers in deepening their profession again. Teachers in Cilegon are expected to be better and more dignified teachers in the 21st century.
The Mayor of Cilegon, Heldy Agustian expressed his appreciation to the teachers who were present to commemorate it together. Successful people are people who always respect their parents and teachers. Teachers are the experts in heaven, God willing, because teachers can give birth to generations of Indonesians, generations of Cilegon people, and the golden generation of 2045.
“Love Cilegon Greetings, Smart Cilegon. Happy National Teacher’s Day and be a digitally literate teacher. Happy Birthday, PGRI, Prosperous Teacher. Go on country. Within 4 months we accelerated the development of education, especially the establishment of junior high schools in several sub-districts in Cilegon, thank God because of Ridho Illahi, it has been running and received permission from the Center. For honorary teachers, there has been an increase in the regional honorarium. We want the people of Cilegon to be smart and the teachers to be prosperous. Hopefully, the Cilegon PGRI office can be realized in 2024 by coordinating with the Cilegon DINDIKBUD. Nothing is impossible, because we love the people of Cilegon,” he said.
