CCN, Cilegon – The Cilegon Scholarship Program is also one of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources in Cilegon, improve the quality of education, and foster motivation for usefulness. The Cilegon Government through Cilegon Culture and Education Office has a scholarship program by preparing 1,000 undergraduate scholarships for the people of Cilegon. A scholarship is a form of government contribution to society. The awarding of this scholarship is in the independent category of achievement and underprivileged. Monday (26/12/2022).
Some of these requirements include; graduating high school in 2020 and above, having a Cilegon ID, having lived in Cilegon for five years, coming from a poor or high-achieving family, has a grade point average (GPA) of not less than 3.

This scholarship submission activity is given at Aston Boutique Hotel Cilegon.
Also present were the leader of the Cilegon Education and Culture Office, Heni Anita Susila, and a number of other Regional Apparatus Organizations. The event was opened directly by the Mayor of Cilegon, Helldy Agustian.
The Mayor of Cilegon Helldy Agustian expressed his appreciation to the Cilegon Education and Culture Office for realizing a full undergraduate scholarship assistance program for the people of Cilegon.
“We have prepared 1,000 scholarships per year. This is part of our contribution from the Cilegon Government to the community so that in the future there will be no more excuses for Cilegon people who can’t afford to get a full Bachelor’s education,” he said.
The Head of the Cilegon Education and Culture Office, Heni Anita Susila explained, the target set out in the Cilegon Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is 1,000 scholarships each year. If the scholarship quota is not absorbed in the year of activity, it will be accumulated in the following year.
The number of campuses that have collaborated with the Cilegon City Government is 19 campuses, namely: Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University of Banten, Al Khairiyah University, Stikom Insan Unggul, Faletehan University, Mathla’ul Anwar University, Krakatau Polytechnic, Aisyiyah Polytechnic, PGRI Polytechnic, Bina Bangsa University, Banten STIA, Banten Jaya University, Serang Raya University, Primagraha University (UPG), Bhakti Kencana University, Open University (UT), Banten Muhammadiyah University, College of Chemical Analysts, and Input Piction. There are also scholarship recipients on national campuses, namely Diponegoro University and Brawijaya University.
“Hopefully this program can provide benefits in increasing the human development index, which is one of the benchmarks for Human Resources in Cilegon,” she said.
