CCN, Cilegon, June 5, 2024 – The Community Hall of RW 06, Rawa Arum Village, Gerogol District, Cilegon, witnessed the traditional Ubrug Cilegon performance featuring the play “Awug-awug”. This event attracted the enthusiastic attention of many residents who eagerly watched the performance.
The evening performance successfully created a meaningful and entertaining atmosphere for the local residents. It not only showcased the famous “Awug-awug” play but also involved local talents from RW 06. A poetry reading by Lutfia, a resident of Tegalwangi, touched the hearts of the audience. Additionally, a vocal performance by Audrey, a resident of Solor, captivated with her melodious voice. Not to be missed, a karate performance by Andin and Putri from Asem Gebog added excitement to the event with their impressive display.
Solhah, the Head of RT 03, shared her thoughts on the event. “I am very proud and happy to see the enthusiasm of the residents for this Ubrug Cilegon performance. Such events not only entertain but also strengthen the bonds between residents. Furthermore, the participation of local talents shows that we have many potentials that deserve to be proud of and continuously developed,” she said enthusiastically.
“Alhamdulillah… Last night’s Ubrug event personally entertained me, and the residents also appreciated and enjoyed watching it. The Ubrug was funny, the crew was compact and awesome,” added the Head of RT 03.
Ahdi Z. Amri, the production leader of Ubrug Cilegon, also expressed his gratitude and pride. “We are very grateful for the support and warm welcome from the residents of RW 06. This performance is solid proof that traditional arts and culture still hold a special place in people’s hearts. We hope that activities like this can continue and inspire the younger generation to love and preserve local culture,” said Ahdi.
“Thank you also to the Cilegon City Department of Education and Culture for allowing this Roadshow and supporting the event, as well as to the Mayor of Cilegon, Heldi Agustian, and the Chairman of the Cilegon City DPRD,” added Ahdi.
The “Awug-awug” performance not only served as entertainment but also as a means of education and cultural preservation for the community. The success of this event certainly could not have been achieved without the hard work of the production team and the full support of the local residents. This artistic night is hoped to ignite the spirit of the residents to continuously safeguard and preserve traditional culture.

The event was also attended by the RW 06 management, RT heads, and local residents. By involving various community elements and local talents, the Ubrug Cilegon performance at the RW 06 Community Hall successfully created a night full of meaning and togetherness.
