CCN, Cilegon. A total of 61 inspiring teachers have been officially inaugurated after successfully passing a highly competitive selection process. These sixth-generation teacher leaders represent representatives from kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school levels in Cilegon.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted directly by the Mayor of Cilegon, Helldy Agustian, at the Setda Hall on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. On this occasion, Helldy emphasized that these teacher leaders have a crucial role as agents of change in the field of education, with the aim of enhancing the quality of human resources, both teachers and students.
He also stressed the importance of making every school in Cilegon an exemplary institution, not solely focusing on specific favored schools. This initiative aims to achieve a better sense of justice in education.
Helldy expressed his hope that these teacher leaders can become leaders in the future of the learning process through their respective work programs. They have been carefully selected after undergoing a rigorous selection process. “The selected teacher leaders must possess uniqueness and future success. They must be capable of innovation, and we will conduct evaluations,” added Helldy.
Meanwhile, Heni Anita Susila, the Head of the Education Department of Cilegon, explained that the previously selected teacher leaders had undergone a written selection, teaching tests, and interviews lasting for nine months. They have received nine months of training as chosen teachers who successfully passed a series of tests and training sessions.
Imam Fiqry Ramadhan, one of the representatives from the sixth-generation teacher leaders, expressed optimism and commitment to making the best contributions in the field of education in Cilegon. He hopes for collaboration and positive discussions among teachers and stakeholders in Cilegon to advance education.
