CCN, Cilegon– In commemoration of the 78th Bhayangkara Day, Polsek Pulomerak Polres Cilegon organized a tree planting event at Situ Rawaarum, Rawaarum Village, Gerogol District, Cilegon City. The event, which took place on Thursday, June 27, 2024, was attended by various community leaders and relevant stakeholders.
The event was attended by several important officials, including:
1. Head of Gerogol Subsector, Ipda Hudi Saptono
2. Gerogol Subdistrict Head, Djajat Sudrajat, SE., MM.
3. Head of Gerogol Community Health Center, Dr. Gunawan
4. Chairman of LSM Gappura Banten, Husen Saidan
5. Rawaarum Village Head, Rahmatullah
6. Bhayangkari branch management of Polsek Pulomerak
7. Bhabinkamtibmas of Rawaarum Village, Bripka Darma Kusuma
8. Babinsa of Rawaarum Village, Serka Ujang S.
9. Management and members of Podsi Cilegon City
The types of tree seedlings planted during this event included Ambon tree, Sengon tree, Mango tree, and Trembesi tree. The tree planting aimed not only to commemorate Bhayangkara Day but also to green the vacant land around Situ Rawaarum to preserve nature and provide a legacy for future generations.
On this occasion, Dr. Gunawan, Head of Gerogol Community Health Center, provided a statement regarding the health benefits of tree planting.
“Tree planting has many significant health benefits. These trees will help filter pollutants from the air, thus improving air quality in our surroundings. Clean air is crucial in preventing various respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchitis. Additionally, a green and lush environment can reduce stress levels and enhance the mental well-being of the community. Therefore, this activity is beneficial not only for the environment but also for the overall health of the community,” said Dr. Gunawan.
This tree planting activity is expected to inspire the community to be more concerned about the environment and health. Polsek Pulomerak Polres Cilegon hopes that through this activity, more parties will be involved in preserving nature for a better future.
