CCN, Cilegon, July 18, 2024 – In the effort to accelerate development in Cilegon City, today marks the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of community infrastructure under the Neighborhood Harmony Facility (SALIRA) in Rawa Arum Village, Grogol District. This initiative is part of the DPWKEL – POKMAS program aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and environmental quality.
Mayor of Cilegon, Heldy Agustian, announced that over 300 neighborhood associations (RW) in Cilegon have received an allocation of 100 million Indonesian Rupiah annually through SALIRA. “In Cilegon, we allocate 100 million per year to accelerate urban development. This morning, we visited Ciwedus for a health center, Jombang for cemetery fences, and today in Grogol Asem Gebog for paving blocks,” he explained.
The mayor emphasized that the fund allocation is entirely community-driven. “We fully entrust this to the community. The city government does not dictate how it should be used, but rather, the 100 million is earmarked for local needs,” he added.
Solhah, Chairperson of POKMAS, expressed strong support for the SALIRA program and its environmental funding. “This program is excellent and we hope it accelerates further infrastructure development. That’s why we fully support SALIRA,” she said during an interview.
However, Solhah proposed diverting some funds towards human resource development (HRD) due to rapid infrastructure deployment. “Our suggestion is to allocate a percentage of SALIRA funds towards HRD activities, considering the infrastructure might be developing too quickly,” she hoped.
Launching SALIRA in Rawa Arum Village, POKMAS Chairman mentioned a specific construction point for this occasion. “We have one launching point in Rawa Arum Village. Each village holds its own launch, unlike before when it was unified per district,” she clarified.
In Rawa Arum Village, ten construction points are planned for the first phase out of 25 activities scheduled for the year. “The first phase covers ten points, totaling 25 activities for the year,” POKMAS Chairman explained.
The budget for the initial phase amounts to 308 million Rupiah. Planned construction includes drainage, cemetery fences, paving blocks, and mosque rehabilitation. “We have drainage work, a cemetery fence, four paving blocks, mosque rehabilitation, and another paving block,” POKMAS Chairman disclosed.
Construction sites span several points in Rawa Arum Village, including Tegalwangi Mosque 02/02 for cemetery fences, 03/07 for drainage, and others for paving blocks and mosque rehabilitation.
The second phase will focus on other neighborhood associations (RW) within Rawa Arum Village. “The work remains the same, but the areas differ as we have seven RWs in Rawa Arum Village,” POKMAS Chairman clarified.
POKMAS Chairman also confirmed that all development targets in Rawa Arum Village have been met. “Alhamdulillah, everything is covered, from home renovations to paving blocks, all wishes have been fulfilled,” she added.
Looking ahead to the 2025 budget, there are hopes for increased funding, with a portion allocated to enhancing human resources. “We aim for growth and hope for activities beyond infrastructure, focusing on HRD,” POKMAS Chairman concluded.
With the implementation of SALIRA, it is expected that the acceleration of infrastructure development in Cilegon City will proceed smoothly, benefiting the local community.. (Tamam)
