CCN, Cilegon – Hundreds of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Cilegon City took part in the Hajj Guidance (Manasik Haji) organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Cilegon City at the Islamic Center Hall on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The event carried the theme “Pursuing a Mabrur Hajj: Attaining Spiritual Perfection in Hajj Worship”, serving as an essential preparation before their departure to the Holy Land.
The Mayor of Cilegon, Robinsar, officially opened the event. He expressed his appreciation to Kemenag Cilegon for initiating the program, which he considered strategic in preparing the pilgrims both mentally and physically.
“Alhamdulillah, I truly appreciate Kemenag Cilegon for organizing this important agenda. This serves as valuable preparation for the pilgrims before their journey to the Holy Land,” Robinsar said in his remarks.
He also reminded the pilgrims to purify their intentions, be patient, and take care of both their physical and mental health. According to him, the Hajj pilgrimage is an act of worship that demands strong spiritual readiness and physical endurance.
“Start preparing from now—physically, mentally, and by learning the basic knowledge related to the rituals of Hajj,” he added.
Meanwhile, Head of the Cilegon City Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Amin Hidayat, explained that the Manasik would be held over two days, covering topics such as the Hajj journey, worship procedures in Mecca and Medina, and health preparation.
A key component of the guidance was the session on “Attaining Perfection in Hajj Worship,” which aimed to help pilgrims understand the spiritual meaning behind each obligation and pillar of Hajj. Pilgrims were encouraged to view the pilgrimage as a moment of self-purification, increased devotion, and wholehearted submission to Allah SWT.
The training is expected to enable the pilgrims to perform the Hajj independently, understand every part of the process thoroughly, and maintain their health. “Following this city-level Manasik, there will also be additional Manasik at the sub-district level, which will be provided free of charge,” Amin added.
He emphasized that health is a crucial requirement. “Before making the final payment for the Hajj cost, pilgrims must be declared medically fit,” he said.
This event is expected to provide comprehensive preparation for the pilgrims—helping them carry out their Hajj solemnly, orderly, and to return home as Mabrur pilgrims. (Ahdi)
