Art Performances Light Up the 80th Indonesian Independence Day Grand Finale in Linggar Jati

CCN, Cilegon, August 30, 2025 – The commemoration of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia became a significant moment that reignited the spirit of nationalism across the nation. In Linggar Jati, RT 02/01, Lebak Denok Subdistrict, Citangkil District, Cilegon City, the community enthusiastically celebrated the milestone with various competitions and art performances.

The highlight of the celebration was a lively grand finale, featuring an array of cultural performances such as the Rampak Bedug Dance, Bendrong Lesung Dance, pantomime, cabaret drama, and other traditional dances that captivated the audience.

Event committee member Isro Mubarok emphasized that the success of the event was due to the dedication and voluntary contributions of the residents. He also expressed gratitude to the donors who supported the activities from the beginning of the competitions until the grand finale.

“The enthusiasm of the residents was extraordinary. From children to the elderly, everyone took part in enlivening the event,” he said.

The evening began with a prayer led by Asep Saifulloh, a community leader of Linggar Jati. Also in attendance was Nurcholis, Head of Lebak Denok Subdistrict, who in his remarks expressed hope that the event in Linggar Jati could serve as an example and motivation for other neighborhoods, particularly within Lebak Denok, and more broadly for the people of Cilegon City.

Suherman, Head of RT Linggar Jati, conveyed his message:

“The fighting spirit of our heroes in defending independence must continue to burn in the hearts of our young generation.”

One of the residents who attended the grand celebration admitted to being greatly entertained by the series of performances.

“This event was extraordinary, memorable, and truly entertaining,” the resident shared.

Meanwhile, Anis Firdaus, Chairman of the Linggar Jati Youth Forum, stated that the event’s success was the result of the hard work and spirit of the residents, especially the youth and organizing committee. He urged the community to continue encouraging young people to remain active in positive activities, not only during Independence Day celebrations but also in other social initiatives.

“This grand finale is not merely entertainment, but also a model for the younger generation to carry forward what this year’s committee has contributed to the community,” he concluded. (***)
