CCN, CILEGON — The 31st Basic Education and Training Program (DIKLATSAR XXXI) of SISPALARA (Siswa Pecinta Alam Raya) at SMAN 1 Cilegon officially concluded on Wednesday (December 24, 2025).
From the entire series of activities, a total of 27 participants were declared to have passed and are entitled to hold the status of junior members of SISPALARA.
DIKLATSAR XXXI was conducted over five days, from December 20 to 24, 2025. Throughout the program, participants underwent an educational process emphasizing character building, discipline, mental resilience, and care for nature and the environment.
A variety of outdoor and nature-related subjects were delivered, including survival skills, disaster management, travel management, land navigation, mountaineering, as well as other supporting materials relevant to outdoor activities and disaster preparedness.
In addition to receiving theoretical instruction and technical training, participants were also tested through an expedition or fly camp. At this stage, they covered a distance of approximately 28 kilometers over two days of travel, eventually returning to the school grounds as the final point of the activity.
The closing ceremony of DIKLATSAR was held solemnly at SMAN 1 Cilegon. The final agenda was marked by a flower-bathing or water-sprinkling ritual, symbolizing self-purification, the completion of the basic training period, and the return of the participants to their parents.
The participants’ arrival was met with emotion by alumni, teachers, and parents. A deeply touching atmosphere was felt as parents approached their children, embraced them, and shed tears—an expression of gratitude and pride for the struggles they had endured.
The Chairman of SISPALARA, Ranu Wanu Belantara, stated that all stages of the program were designed to shape individuals who are resilient, responsible, and possess a strong sense of leadership.
“Graduation is not the end, but rather the beginning of responsibility as part of the extended SISPALARA family. Participants are expected to practice the values of outdoor stewardship and environmental awareness in their daily lives,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMAN 1 Cilegon, Agus Panca Susila, also expressed his appreciation for the participants’ spirit, perseverance, and solidarity throughout the entire DIKLATSAR program.
With the conclusion of DIKLATSAR XXXI, it is hoped that the graduates will take an active role in outdoor activities, disaster response, and social initiatives, both within the school environment and in the wider community. (***)
