CCN, Cilegon, June 14, 2024 – A tranquil Friday night at Cilegon Park, South Ring Road KM.04 was suddenly enlivened by a traditional Ubrug art performance. The Keliling Ubrug Cilegon group, known for preserving cultural heritage, staged a performance titled “Awug-awug” at Kalaka Kafe.

The show presented a strong storyline and a polished production, addressing trending social and cultural issues through performance. This success was due to the hard work of the production and aesthetic teams who collaborated seamlessly. The production team, consisting of Ahdi, Ayat, Riris, Fajrin, Tamam, Yana, Aman, and Ibnu, ensured every technical aspect ran smoothly. They worked together with the aesthetic team and actors, including Wawan, Faldi, Opank, Tompel, Yoga, Amel, Silvi, Ikbal, and Rizqi, who brought each character to life with full dedication.

The actors’ performances were also supported by stunning makeup from the makeup team: Deta, Titi, and Imel. Their makeup work transported the audience into a rich traditional atmosphere. Meanwhile, the beautiful music from the team led by Faldi, Fikri, Angger, and Epengers enriched the performance’s ambiance.

Ahdi, the production leader of Ubrug Cilegon, expressed his pride in the success of the “Awug-awug” performance. “We are very grateful for the hard work of the entire team. This collaboration is not just about preserving traditional culture but also inspiring the younger generation to continue loving and preserving local arts. We also extend our thanks to the Cilegon City Department of Education and Culture and the Cilegon City Council, especially Kalaka Kafe,” he said.
