“CCN, Cilegon – Integrative PLP Students Join in Celebrating the Series of Events for the 78th Indonesian Independence Day at MAN 1 Kota Cilegon (Friday, August 18, 2023)
The Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17 is a momentous occasion eagerly awaited by the Indonesian people. In celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday, August 18, 2023, the School Council, students, and Integrative PLP Students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kota Cilegon participated in a ceremony commemorating Indonesia’s Independence Day. The ceremony proceeded smoothly under the theme of ‘Moving Forward for a Progressive Indonesia.’
The schedule for commemorating the 78th Indonesian Independence Day at MAN 1 Kota Cilegon commenced with a morning flag-raising ceremony. The Head of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kota Cilegon presided over the opening of the competition for this year’s Independence Day. Following this, a group exercise session, led by the physical education teacher of MAN 1 Kota Cilegon, was conducted.
Subsequently, the competitive events were overseen by the OSIS-MPK committee and the Integrative PLP Students. Various competitions were held, including Sack Race, Cracker Eating Contest, Water Relay, Tug of War, Traditional Wooden Clogs Race, Quiz, Speech, Short Story, Best Quotes, and Classroom Cleanliness. These competitions saw participation from students ranging from grade 10 to grade 12. Winning or losing was considered customary in these contests, with the most important aspect being the courage to participate and make an effort.
Nizma, the Head of the PLP group at MAN 1 Cilegon, emphasized that effort is the key to achieving one’s goals. Just like our heroes who fought tirelessly, even to the last drop of blood, for the independence of our nation, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
