CCN, Cilegon – Health services at Grogol Community Health Center (Puskesmas Grogol) are now officially operating 24 hours a day, excluding childbirth services, starting earlier this week. This policy is part of the priority program of Cilegon Mayor Robinsar, aimed at improving public access to essential healthcare services.
dr. Gunawan, Head of Puskesmas Grogol, stated that the extended hours are intended to provide quick and responsive services, especially during nighttime emergencies.
“We have scheduled medical staff and support facilities in shifts to ensure uninterrupted, quality service. This is part of our commitment to fulfilling the Mayor’s directive so that residents feel safe and cared for at any time,” he said on Friday night, May 23, 2025, at the Grogol Health Center.
The 24-hour service includes emergency care for non-maternity cases. In addition, the pharmacy unit and administrative support services have also been adjusted to remain operational outside regular business hours.
Residents of Grogol have welcomed the new policy. Fera, a resident of Cikuasa neighborhood, expressed relief. “If my child gets sick at night, I don’t have to worry anymore. The health center is always open,” she said. (RAB)
