CCN, Cilegon – CCN Sport Event enlivens National Sports Day (Haornas) with hundreds of participants from junior and senior high schools. Haornas is not just a sports celebration but also an important platform for people to channel their aspirations and talents into various positive activities. Particularly in the face of Westernization threats that the current younger generation encounters and in commemoration of the long history of national athletes’ achievements, one of the primary objectives is to facilitate student competitions as part of Haornas.

This competition spans two days, starting from September 30, 2023, and running until October 1, 2023, at GOR BBS II in Cilegon, with high enthusiasm from the participants. Dozens of students from various secondary schools in Cilegon are taking part in this competition, demonstrating high competitiveness and sportsmanship.

The continuity of this event serves not only as a commemoration of National Sports Day but also as an effort to enhance students’ interest and talent in the field of sports. The organizing committee, composed of dedicated teachers, has arranged competitions in various categories and levels, ranging from boys’ singles to girls’ singles. Participants are showcasing their best skills and abilities on the field.

Ahdi Zukhruf Amri, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 2023 Cilegon City Badminton Tournament, stated that they are striving to provide students with opportunities to develop their talents and interests in sports, especially badminton. “Through this competition, we hope to nurture budding badminton athletes who can bring glory to their schools and city,” he said.

The success of this event is not without the support of schools that have sent participants and the active participation of students. In addition to fostering a love for sports, events like these also cultivate values of cooperation, discipline, and sportsmanship among participants.

Andi Dian Putra, a local entrepreneur and youth in Cilegon, expressed his appreciation for the organizing committee. “This competition is not only a platform for competition but also a means to strengthen ties between schools. I am proud to see the enthusiasm and spirit of our students, especially since this event is not organized by the government or sports organizations but by teachers. Hopefully, others will be inspired,” Andi said.

With the Cilegon Open Badminton Tournament for junior and senior high schools, it is hoped that this can become an annual event involving more schools and students. “Apart from being a platform to uncover sporting potential, increased participation can also create a healthy competitive atmosphere and foster a sense of togetherness in the world of sports in Cilegon. Hopefully, others will be motivated to organize similar activities,” added Andi Dian Putra.

“Sports are an integral part of a healthy life, but let us not forget our responsibilities as students. I urge all students to remain focused on pursuing their dreams and making their parents and schools proud,” he concluded.”
