CCN, CILEGON – Cultural Harmony Nusantara once again greets the citizens of Cilegon through a series of Kirab and Festival Budaya Cilegon events successfully held on Saturday, November 11, 2023. The event, attended by thousands of residents, received full support from the Mayor of Cilegon, Helldy Agustian, who is committed to making the cultural parade and festival an annual agenda.
The initiative of Regional Cultural Harmony has become a milestone in the success of building nationalism through cultural movements. This series of events, including Kirab Budaya, Festival Budaya Daerah, and Lomba Tari, has transformed into a stage for the actualization of artistic and cultural creations in various forms. Regional Cultural Harmony serves as a platform that combines cultural traditions with the dynamics of contemporary creativity, reviving the narrative of often overlooked cultural heritage.
The primary objectives of this activity include enhancing the understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity in Cilegon and its surrounding areas. Mayor Helldy stated, “This activity is expected to strengthen relationships between districts and cities/counties in the cultural context, providing a space for the younger generation to explore and develop their creativity in reviving cultural traditions.”
In a lively atmosphere, Kirab and Festival Budaya Cilegon successfully created moments of togetherness that unite differences, foster tolerance, and build collective pride in cultural heritage. The event also serves as a platform for promoting cultural diversity and traditions in the community. It was attended by various figures, including the Chairman of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Cilegon, Isro Mi’raj, Secretary of the Region Maman Mauludin, and enlivened by 50 MSME stands and a Ubrug Cilegon performance in the evening.
Heni Anita Susila, Head of the Department of Education and Culture of Cilegon City, explained that the event involved 1000 participants from various districts and regions in the Banten Province, as well as special invitations from outside the province. Heni expressed her hope, “This event is expected to be a platform for community integration from 8 districts and 7 cities/counties in Banten Province, as well as special invitations from outside Banten Province.”
Mayor Helldy Agustian expressed appreciation for the successful organization of the Kirab and Festival Budaya Cilegon. He hopes that this activity will continue to be an annual agenda that can introduce the richness of Cilegon’s art and culture nationally. The event, attended by various community figures, could mark a turning point in the cultural resurgence of Cilegon.
