CCN, CILEGON – The Television Journalism Development Center (PPJTV) Banten organized a networking event with the Chairman of Cilegon Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Isro Mi’roj. The meeting, held on Monday, September 4, 2023, focused on various aspects related to the preparation of the legislative government’s programs in Cilegon. The event was also attended by the Chairman of PPJTV Banten Province, Suherdi, and accompanied by the Regional Coordinator of PPJTV Cilegon, Mad Sari.
This brief discussion was conducted with enthusiasm, including a question and answer session with the Chairman of “PPJTV Banten Holds Networking Event with Chairman of DPRD Cilegon, Isro Mi’roj”. One of the main issues discussed was transparency and openness of information within “PPJTV Banten Holds Networking Event with Chairman of DPRD Cilegon, Isro Mi’roj”. Isro Mi’roj emphasized that transparency plays a crucial role in building public trust.
“The DPRD must always remain open; this is our commitment. We do not hide anything, allowing the public easy access to information,” stated Isro.
As is known, Isro Mi’roj is known for being very open to public aspirations. This is evident from his willingness to meet with PPJTV Banten Province and always listen to feedback from the public.
Isro explained, “I feel this is my responsibility as a representative of the people.”
Furthermore, in the discussion, Isro also discussed the importance of public information in supporting the DPRD Cilegon activities to be more transparent and understandable for the people of Cilegon.
Meanwhile, Suherdi, who is also a journalist for Kompas TV in the Banten Province, expressed high appreciation for the warm reception provided by the Chairman of DPRD Cilegon. He also shared his hope for the integration of journalism into the education system or literacy programs.
“We believe that the media is an essential source of information that should be accessible to the public,” he stated.
Suherdi added that the networking event between PPJTV Banten Province and the Chairman of Cilegon City’s DPRD is part of the media’s role and related institutions in shaping and supporting the development of journalists, especially in Cilegon.
It is hoped that such activities can be further enhanced to strengthen cooperation between the legislative government and educational institutions in the Cilegon region in facing various challenges of our time.
