CCN, Cilegon, May 7, 2025 – PT Surya Segara Hana officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cilegon City Government during a formal ceremony held at the Cilegon Mayor’s Office. This collaboration marks a strategic step to strengthen the synergy between the business sector and local government in realizing “Cilegon Juare”—a vision for an Honest, Trustworthy, and Religious Cilegon that also stands as a champion in national and global industry.
The MoU was signed directly by PT Surya Segara Hana’s Director, Suryadinata, and the Mayor of Cilegon, H. Robinsar, witnessed by officials from related agencies and leaders of other companies. This signing marks the beginning of a cross-sector collaboration aimed at developing local human resources and enhancing industrial safety systems in the City of Cilegon.
Four Pillars of Collaboration
The scope of the MoU between PT Surya Segara Hana and the Cilegon City Government includes:
1. Human resource capacity building through training in occupational safety and gas monitoring technology;
2. Strengthening risk mitigation systems for hazardous gases in industrial areas to protect public and environmental safety;
3. Training in the latest industry-based technology to produce skilled and competent local workers;
4. Establishment of a Hazardous Gas Response Task Force as a proactive measure for industrial emergency situations.
PT Surya Segara Hana’s Director, Suryadinata, stated that this MoU is a tangible form of business sector support for the strategic programs of the Cilegon City Government.
“We believe that as an international industrial city, Cilegon requires reliable human resources and a modern safety system. This MoU is part of our contribution to support that transformation,” he said.
In Line with the “Cilegon Juare” Scholarship and Apprenticeship Program
This agreement also aligns with PT Surya Segara Hana’s support for the “Cilegon Juare” scholarship and apprenticeship program, which has been designed by the Cilegon City Government to prepare local workers to compete in the Industry 4.0 era. Through this collaboration, Cilegon’s youth will be equipped with practical skills and up-to-date technological knowledge that meet international safety standards.
Cilegon Mayor H. Robinsar welcomed the partnership with enthusiasm and emphasized that Cilegon must become a key player in national industrial development.
“We don’t want Cilegon residents to merely watch from the sidelines in their own city. This program paves the way for our people to emerge as excellent human resources in a city that’s truly ‘Juare’,” he asserted.
