Cilegon, CCN– The General Election Commission (KPU) of Cilegon City held a Public Testing of the Temporary Voter List (DPS) for the Banten Gubernatorial and Vice-Gubernatorial Elections as well as the Cilegon Mayoral and Vice-Mayoral Elections on Saturday (24/08) at Aston Boeutiq Hotel, Cilegon. The event was attended by various parties, including the Cilegon Police, Cilegon Civil Registry Office, Cilegon Correctional Institution, Cilegon Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), representatives of political parties, youth and community organizations (OKP & Ormas), and media representatives.

In its presentation, the KPU of Cilegon City revealed that the DPS is dominated by voters from the Millennial and Gen-Z generations. Out of a total of 330,159 registered DPS entries, 123,759 are Millennials, while 83,269 voters belong to Gen-Z. This dominance has made both generations a primary target for the election participants.

However, this DPS data is still temporary and may change as there are several stages remaining before the finalization of the Permanent Voter List (DPT). The KPU of Cilegon City also invited all election participants to actively monitor the voter data by providing feedback and reporting if there are any unregistered individuals during the verification and research process (coklit) conducted by the polling station working group (pantarlih).

“So, if any of you find that a relative or someone from your community has not yet been registered, please report it through the PPS, PPK, or directly to the KPU Cilegon City office,” said Cecep, a KPU member serving as the Head of the Data and Information Division. (Bahroni)
