CCN, Cilegon– The 28th night of Ramadan 1446 Hijri at Baiturahman Mosque in Cidunak Neighborhood was filled with a spirit of togetherness and social awareness. The local youth, along with Risma (Islamic Youth Association) of Baiturahman Mosque, organized a series of meaningful events. The program, which started in the late afternoon and continued into the night, included a communal iftar, a Qur’an recitation completion (Khotmil Qur’an), and an orphan charity event, attended by local residents and mosque congregants.

Communal Iftar in an Atmosphere of Togetherness

The event commenced with a communal iftar joined by children of various ages who are part of the Dalail Khoirot group. The program took place solemnly from 5:00 PM to 6:02 PM WIB. The food and refreshments were prepared by the organizing committee, consisting mostly of youth and Risma members from Baiturahman Mosque.

Qur’an Recitation Completion as the Peak of Worship

After breaking the fast, the event continued with the Khotmil Qur’an, led by mosque administrators, congregants, and invited guests. As a form of reverence for the Qur’an, the participants recited its sacred verses together to complete their readings during the final nights of Ramadan.

“This Khotmil Qur’an event is an effort to deepen our love for the Holy Qur’an and to increase our acts of worship in this noble month,” said Kang Faturohman, the event’s organizing committee member.

Charity for Orphans: Sharing Kindness Amidst Goodness

The highlight of the night was the distribution of charity to orphans living in Cidunak Neighborhood. A total of 25 orphans received financial aid and food packages, handed directly by the committee, accompanied by community leaders and mosque administrators. This act of charity served as a tangible expression of the youth’s and community’s compassion for those in need, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.

“May this donation help ease their burdens and bring joy to the less fortunate children. This is part of our duty as Muslims—to help and care for one another,” said Kang Saiful, the Chief Organizer of Baiturahman Mosque, in his speech.

Closing with a Collective Prayer

The event concluded with a collective prayer led by the Imam of Baiturahman Mosque. The congregation prayed for strength to complete their fasting with sincerity, seeking Allah’s forgiveness and mercy as Ramadan neared its end. They also prayed for Baiturahman Mosque to remain blessed and to continue serving as a center for spiritual and social activities beneficial to the community.

Hopes for the Future

The initiatives led by the youth and Risma of Baiturahman Mosque set an exemplary model for other communities, demonstrating that the spirit of togetherness and social care should always be nurtured, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Through such activities, it is hoped that the community will strengthen their ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood) and foster harmonious relationships among residents.

“May this event bring blessings not only in this Ramadan but also in our daily lives,” concluded Munadi, Chairman of Baiturahman Mosque’s Management Board, before closing the event.
