CCN, Cilegon – In an effort to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, the Head of Pulomerak Police, Kompol Entang Cahyadi, SH., MA., along with the members of Pulomerak Police, conducted sambang (community visit) and silaturahmi (gathering) activities. This activity is part of the implementation of the Quick Wins Precision Program – JUM’AT CURHAT, aimed at enhancing communication between the police and religious figures, community leaders, youth representatives, and local residents.

The event took place on Friday, June 16, 2023, starting at 09:00 AM local time, at Link Cidangdang RT. 01 RW. 03, Rawaarum Village, Gerogol Subdistrict, Cilegon City.

Several figures and representatives were present at the event, including Mr. H. Saptunji Aziz, S.Pd., M.Si (Rawaarum Village Head), Mr. H. Suedi (Kasi Pem Kec. Gerogol), Ustad A. Suntani, HM (Religious Figure), Mr. Arbain (Community Leader), Mr. Satiri (Youth Representative), Mr. Maswan (Chairman of RW 003), representatives from RT 01, 02, 03, and 04, women cadres of RW 03, as well as residents from Link Cidangdang, Bujanggadung, and Curug.

During the Q&A session, several issues raised by the surrounding community included reckless behavior of teenagers riding motorcycles without considering their own safety and that of others. Additionally, discussions were held regarding efforts to improve the security of the environment, particularly in RW 03, through the spirit of community participation in conducting neighborhood watch patrols (ronda siskamling). Furthermore, concerns were raised regarding individuals with mental disorders (ODGJ) who often carry sharp weapons and pose a potential threat to public safety and order (kamtibmas).

In response to these issues, Kapolsek Pulomerak provided his insights. Firstly, to address the rising cases of delinquency among teenagers outside, such as street racing, brawls, and conflicts, it is advised that residents always coordinate with Bhabinkamtibmas (police personnel assigned to the community) to monitor and supervise the activities of the youth. Moreover, it is essential for parents to provide understanding and education to their children regarding the positive and negative consequences of their actions.

Secondly, the police will encourage and provide guidance to residents to revive neighborhood watch posts as a precautionary measure against kamtibmas disturbances, especially crimes related to theft, robbery, and motorcycle theft (3C).

Thirdly, concerning individuals with mental disorders (ODGJ), Kapolsek Pulomerak emphasized the importance of coordinating with their families to ensure they receive appropriate medical treatment, involving the local health center (Puskesmas) and the Department of Social Services.

Fourthly, through the neighborhood police program initiated by the leadership of the Indonesian National Police, it is hoped that significant contributions can be made to maintain security and public order. It is also expected that any issues in each respective neighborhood (RW) can be effectively communicated and coordinated.

Fifthly, the Jumat Curhat (Friday sharing) activity will continue to be conducted as a form of silaturahmi between Kapolsek Pulomerak and the community. The main objective is to exchange information regarding the development of the local situation, potential kamtibmas disturbances, and to anticipate any potential unrest leading up to the political year.

Through these sambang and silaturahmi activities, it is hoped that the relationship between the police and the community will grow stronger, fostering synergy in maintaining the security and order of the environment. Kapolsek Pulomerak and his team are ready to be present and engage with the community to provide relevant information in safeguarding kamtibmas.

The sambang and silaturahmi activities in the implementation of the Quick Wins Precision Program – JUM’AT CURHAT are expected to bring positive benefits to the community and further strengthen the synergy between the police and residents in creating a safe and comfortable environment.
