CCN, Cilegon, June 3, 2025 — A surprising revelation has emerged from the Chairman of the Cilegon Cultural Council (DKKC), Ayatullah Khumaeni.
In a talk show episode that has recently gone viral on social media, the cultural figure and public personality openly shared his unique past — revealing that he once worked as a paranormal practitioner.
This confession was made during a podcast titled “The Mystical Past of the Cultural Council Chairman Revealed.”
In the candid yet reflective conversation, Ayatullah opened up about a little-known chapter of his life, describing his involvement in the spiritual and supernatural realm before transitioning into the worlds of politics and cultural advocacy.
“Yes, I used to be a paranormal practitioner. It’s part of my life journey. It’s not something I’m proud of, but I don’t regret it either. From that experience, I learned a lot about people, belief systems, and the voids that culture can fill,” Ayatullah stated in the hour-long video.
He explained that the experience gave him a unique perspective that now informs his work in cultural leadership.
According to him, his past deepened his understanding of local narratives, myths, and traditions that help shape community identity.
Known for his vocal stance on cultural preservation, Ayatullah stressed that his life path was no accident.
“Everything I’ve been through, including being a paranormal practitioner, only strengthened my resolve to protect culture — because that’s where the spirit of the people lies. Our culture must remain alive,” he added.
The public response has been mixed. While some praised his honesty, others were taken aback by his unusual past. Still, many see the confession as a bold and sincere act by a public figure.
With this openness, Ayatullah Khumaeni further solidifies his reputation as someone who not only understands culture in theory but has also lived through its many dimensions — both rational and spiritual.
