CCN, Cilegon, May 28, 2025 — In response to public reports regarding alleged irregularities during the implementation of the National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N) at the Cilegon City level, the Cilegon City Cultural Council (DKKC) has announced that it will take formal steps by sending an official letter to the relevant parties to request clarification and explanation.
Chairman of the DKKC, Ayatullah Khumaeni, stated that the Council had received several complaints pointing to a lack of transparency in the selection and assessment process of participants.
“We take every report concerning the integrity of arts and cultural events seriously, especially those involving our younger generation. Therefore, we will soon send an official letter to the organizing committee to seek clarification and open a space for dialogue,” he said.
The Cultural Council emphasized that fairness, professionalism, and objectivity must serve as the foundation for every artistic competition, particularly those aimed at identifying student talents and fostering early development in the arts and culture.
In addition to contacting the technical organizers, DKKC is also opening a channel for the public, participants, and parents to share relevant accounts or supporting evidence as part of a comprehensive evaluation.
“We are not here to assign blame, but rather to uphold the dignity of cultural competitions so they remain healthy and sincere. This is our moral responsibility as a cultural partner,” Ayatullah affirmed.
DKKC hopes that this clarification effort will lead to a more honest, transparent, and educational competition process in the future.(***)
