CCN, Cilegon – The Karang Taruna of Rawa Arum successfully held their annual festival, the Gema Takbir competition, on April 9, 2024. Themed “Propagating Islamic Teachings through the Festival of Gema Takbir to Cultivate a Generation with Religious Culture,” the event showcased the community’s dedication to religious values.
The festival’s chairman, Restu Bambang Guntoro, highlighted the overwhelming support from community leaders, neighborhood associations, and the Mosque Council Committee. Additional backing came from the Karang Taruna Rawa Arum, and the extended family of PT. PGP. “A huge thank you to all stakeholders, including the neighborhood head, mosque committee chair, our families, and donors, who made this event a success. We apologize for any shortcomings in our words or gestures of welcome and respect, and seek guidance from our elders,” said Restu Bambang.
The opening was marked by Edi Firmansyah, the Chair of Karang Taruna, who expressed gratitude for the presence of all community leaders and committee members, celebrating the blessings of Islamic faith provided by Allah SWT. He called on all participants to unite and strengthen generational regeneration in a religious atmosphere.
H. Buhaeti Romli, the Karang Taruna Advisor, in his speech, conveyed appreciation for all guests, including Edi Firmansyah, whom he affectionately referred to as a younger brother. He expressed pride in the progress of Karang Taruna in their locality, which has represented them in various regional activities. Romli hoped the evening would serve as a moment for self-evaluation and religious outreach enhancement.
“This evening is an ideal opportunity to rekindle unity and cohesion within our community. With the spirit emanating from this event, I hope the Karang Taruna community will continue to energize and improve, as their role is crucial in community development,” stated Romli, who also extended festive greetings while apologizing for any deficiencies.
The festival not only served as a competition but also as a means to strengthen community bonds and celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriyah. The performances by various teams were not just entertaining but also enhanced the communal spirit.
The event concluded with the Jury Chairman, Jupri, announcing the winners, ensuring fairness and professionalism. The top prizes went to RW 07’s mosque Al Hidayah and mosque Al Istiqomah of RW 7, with mosque Baitul Salam of RW 03 taking the first prize, met with great enthusiasm from the audience. The overall champion was announced as RW 4, which had the highest cumulative score.
The presence of the local head of Rawa Arum and Robinsar, among others, highlighted the community’s strong involvement and commitment to fostering positive and beneficial activities for all. This spirit is expected to inspire future generations and maintain a vibrant community spirit.
