CCN, CILEGON – Nurrotul Uyun, Vice Chair of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Cilegon, graces the inauguration of 43 members of the Indonesian Youth and Teenagers Mosque Communication Body (BKPRMI) at the district level in Cilegon on Saturday, October 28, 2023. The event is expected to mark a significant milestone in enhancing the involvement of youth and teenagers in the management of mosques and prayer rooms throughout Cilegon.
In her address, Nurrotul Uyun expressed her great hopes that the presence of BKPRMI district-level leaders would have a positive impact on the development of religious activities around mosques and prayer rooms. With the induction of new leaders, it is hoped that a synergy will be created to better guide the youth and teenagers in the vicinity in managing mosques and prayer rooms with increased innovation and creativity. Nurrotul Uyun emphasized the exceptional potential of ideas, inspiration, and new innovations often possessed by young people, which can be a boon to the development of religious activities.
Furthermore, Uyun underscored the importance of mosques and prayer rooms as centers for religious and social activities in the community. She emphasized that mosques and prayer rooms are not just places of worship but also centers for character development and positive activities for the surrounding residents. It is hoped that the new BKPRMI leaders will make a maximum contribution to advancing religious activities in Cilegon.
The district-level BKPRMI leaders, who were inaugurated, are expected to carry out their responsibilities with a strong sense of duty. They are expected to design innovative and creative work programs to strengthen community involvement in religious activities.
The DPRD of Cilegon has also affirmed its readiness to support programs with positive values, particularly those related to the welfare of the people and religious matters. Commission II, which falls under the DPRD of Cilegon, is a wide-open platform for collaboration, discussions, and the presentation of ideas that can benefit the community.
“Commission II deals with matters related to the welfare of the people, including religious affairs, and we are here with open arms. If there are issues to be raised or discussions to be held with members of the DPRD of Cilegon, we are very receptive,” stated Nurrotul Uyun, Vice Chair of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Cilegon, during an interview.
