CCN, CILEGON* – In an effort to ensure the smooth process of the upcoming General Elections (Pemilu), the Election Organizing Committee (PPS) of Lebak Denok Sub-District, Citangkil District, took a proactive step by organizing Independent Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for three days from February 7 to 9, 2024.
This initiative aims to minimize the possibility of unwanted incidents during the voting process.
Hendra Lesmana, Chairman of PPS Lebak Denok, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation for the upcoming elections.
“We have conducted independent Bimtek at the sub-district level to ensure that all KPPS (Village Election Organizing Committee) officials have a deep understanding of the procedures and protocols for conducting the elections,” stated Hendra Lesmana during an interview on Friday (2/9/2024).
Previously, simultaneous Bimtek sessions were held by the Cilegon City Election Commission (KPU) at the Sari Galuh restaurant. However, Lesmana emphasized that the independent Bimtek at the sub-district level is an additional step necessary to ensure more in-depth preparations.
“We hope that with this independent Bimtek, any potential obstacles and technical issues can be well-anticipated. If there are technical difficulties during the actual implementation, our PPS team will directly intervene in the field,” added Hendra Lesmana.
Nur Kholis, the Head of Lebak Denok Sub-District, welcomed the initiative of PPS Kelurahan Lebak Denok in conducting independent Bimtek.
“We highly appreciate the proactive step taken by PPS Kelurahan Lebak Denok. This shows our commitment to maintaining the integrity and smooth implementation of the upcoming elections,” expressed Kholis.
In addition to preparing for possible technical issues, relevant authorities are also paying attention to external factors such as weather conditions.
“We hope the weather is supportive on the day of the vote to avoid disrupting the election process,” said Kholis.
With a strong spirit of preparation and solid cooperation among PPS Kelurahan Lebak Denok, the sub-district government, and all relevant stakeholders, it is expected that the upcoming elections will run smoothly and successfully, providing a valid vote for all Indonesian citizens.
“May all elements or stakeholders work together to ensure the smooth running of the 2024 elections,” he added. (Red)
