PPSBBI Inaugurates New Executive Board, Bandrong Confidently Steps into the 2025–2030 Era

CCN, CCN, The Peguron Pencak Silat Bandrong Banten Indonesia (PPSBBI) officially inaugurated its new executive boards at the national, provincial, and regency/city levels for the 2025–2030 term on Sunday, December 28, 2025. The inauguration ceremony was held at The Royale Krakatau Hotel.

The event is expected to strengthen athlete development while reinforcing the preservation of pencak silat as Indonesia’s cultural heritage. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Governor of Banten, Dimyati Natakusumah, prominent pencak silat figures, regional administrators, and invited guests from various parts of Indonesia.

The inauguration procession began with the reading of the official decree, followed by the oath-taking of the newly appointed officials. The Chairman of PPSBBI formally inaugurated the management ranks from the central to regional levels.

Chairman of PPSBBI Banten, Asep Syofatulah, emphasized that the inauguration was not merely ceremonial, but marked the beginning of a shared responsibility to advance pencak silat both as a competitive sport and as a national cultural legacy.

“We strongly emphasize the importance of organizational unity and sustainable development of young athletes. In addition, PPSBBI administrators are expected to actively safeguard and uphold the noble values of pencak silat,” Asep stated.

The Central Executive Board (DPP) of Bandrong was officially inaugurated at The Royale Krakatau Hotel in Cilegon on the same day. The event marked the beginning of a new chapter of leadership as well as organizational consolidation at the national level.

The ceremony was conducted in a solemn and dignified manner, attended by senior Bandrong figures, members of the High Council, and representatives of provincial (DPW) and regional (DPD) boards from various areas. Hundreds of practitioners from different training centers were also present, underscoring the strong organizational solidarity of Bandrong, deeply rooted in Banten’s traditions and cultural values.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, H. Joni, expressed gratitude for the successful and harmonious execution of the event. He described the inauguration as clear evidence of the strong commitment of all Bandrong elements to maintaining organizational unity.

“Praise be to God, the inauguration of the Bandrong Central Executive Board was carried out smoothly, orderly, and with great solemnity. This success was made possible through the cooperation of the organizing committee, the support of the administrators, and the participation of practitioners from various regions,” said H. Joni.

He added that the inauguration is expected to serve as a starting point for strengthening national organizational consolidation. “We hope the new leadership will bring Bandrong to become more solid, progressive, and capable of responding to future organizational challenges without abandoning the noble values of the martial art,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Bandrong Regional Board (DPD) of Cilegon City, Mustasyim, described the inauguration of the DPP leadership as a strategic momentum to reorganize the direction and governance of the organization.

“This inauguration is not merely ceremonial, but marks the beginning of strengthening organizational structure and consolidation to ensure Bandrong’s sustainability and orderly development,” he said.

The newly inaugurated Chairman of the Bandrong Central Executive Board, H. Asep, Lc, stated that the current leadership is still in the early stages of development, in line with the leadership transition taking place at the end of the year.

“This administration is still in a developmental phase. We are using this year-end momentum as a starting point to reorganize the organization in a more structured and systematic manner,” H. Asep explained.

He expressed hope that under the new leadership, Bandrong would continue to grow—not only as a pencak silat school, but also as an organization consistently committed to preserving cultural dignity and the core values of the martial art.

“Our hope is that Bandrong will continue to progress, gain wider recognition, and achieve accomplishments from the regional to the national level,” he added.

The inauguration also reaffirmed the commitment of the Bandrong Central Executive Board to strengthening organizational development, enhancing coordination across all leadership levels, and preparing sustainable regeneration of practitioners.

At the conclusion of the event, the DPP management expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to the success of the inauguration. With a strong spirit of unity and solidarity, Bandrong remains optimistic about moving forward more confidently in facing future challenges. (***)
